Finance Assistant
Gloucester/ Hybrid remote
We are looking for a Finance Assistant to join our Shared Services Team on a full-time or part-time basis based at our Gloucester Office. This is an exciting opportunity to join GLT and become an integral member of the Finance Department.
Our Finance Assistants work within a team of finance professionals. The team is responsible for producing accurate and timely financial statements for a number of schools. Each team is the responsibility of a Finance Manager and support the manager to deliver the effective operation of the finance function within the Shared Services Team and our schools, ensuring compliance with legal and financial regulations and the Trust’s financial policies and procedures.

Main responsibilities:
Responsibility for the accurate and timely processing of all financial transactions for schools within the Greenshaw Learning Trust on the Trusts financial systems to include:
- Process all orders
- Process all goods received notes
- Post all invoices ensuring compliance with Value for Money and following Trust procurement policy including budget monitoring
- Ensure credit card transactions are authorised and posted on PSF
- Post entries and confirm reconciliation of Petty Cash
- Post entries for trips
- Post staff expenses
- Ensure timely payment of Bursaries
- Raising of sales invoices
- Accurate coding and recording of VAT
- Ensuring compliance with legal and financial regulations and the Trust’s financial policies and procedures
You will need:
- GCSE education to include English Language and Maths (or equivalent)
- Experience of purchase ledger/accounts payable
- Ability to demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and development of young people
- Ability to work in an organised way with meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to demonstrate understanding of safeguarding and equal opportunities
- Ability to deal with confidential information appropriately
- Ability to travel to other schools within the Trust

Salary: £24,293 to £25,979
Hours Per Week: Full-time (36 hours) or Part-time (20-30 hours)
