School Receptionist

JOB DESCRIPTION
Reception Duties
- Being first point of contact for visitors to the school - this will involve a variety of tasks including answering the telephone, taking messages, operating electronic gates and dealing with any enquiries.
- Ensure all visitors ID seen and safeguarding procedures followed
- Support point of contact for current and prospective parents, carers and external agencies
- Support point of contact for Belong staff
- Maintenance of Reception space
Administrative support
- Assist School Administrator with IT and Health and Safety as required
- Support with maintenance of Management Information Systems
- Issue technology (laptops and mobile phones) to all new members of staff
- Regular sending of information to parents and carers by email and post
- General printing of work packs/ other documents for students
- Order stationery, curriculum resources and other supplies on request.
- Any other tasks as directed by School Administrator and SLT
- Room bookings and meeting coordination
- Assist with maintenance of the Asset Register
Community Support
- Tracking of staff and students during offsite learning, through use of Evolve
- Compliance checks and records
- Coordinate distribution of first aid kits
Safeguarding
- Work in line with statutory safeguarding guidance (including Keeping Children Safe in Education, Prevent) and the school’s safeguarding and child protection policies
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Engage fully with the health and safety requirements
- Promote the safeguarding of all pupils in the school
Training and Development
- Complete all Statutory and company training when required
- Value personal professional development
- Engage positively in induction, probation, and performance management processes
- Engage with CPD professionally and proactively
- Complete all required and requested tasks in a timely manner and / or by specific deadlines.
