Mechanical Assembler - BR/ASF

Bristol

Position: Mechanical Assembler

Location: Near Bristol

Working hours :40 hours per week Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (flex start and finish is available)

Type of role: Permanent

We are now seeking to recruit a skilled mechanical assembler to work for niche manufacturing business based in Bristol. This is an exciting opportunity for mechanical fitter/ assembler with passion for motor sport. The appropriate candidate would be responsible for overseeing the assembly, integration, and commissioning of products and equipment.

You will need to have an excellent eye for detail and be a self-starter, able to work independently and manage your own workload.

Responsibilities

* Contribute to ensuring the workshop environment is kept to a high standard.
* Deliver mechanical sub-assemblies and full machine assemblies to a consistently high standard.
* Keep build documentation up to date.
* Support current and continually develop and improves goods in and stores processes.
* Communicate clear feedback on assembly processes and work instructions to ensure perpetual improvement.
* Travel to customer sites both nationally and globally for installation and maintenance.

Essential Experience/Skills

* Experience working in a highly productive assembly environment.
* Excellent understanding of tooling and assembly processes.
* Experience working in a tight team environment.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Able to travel.

Desirable Experience/Skills

* Forklift licence up to 3.5 ton.
* Experience of inspection and quality control.
* Experience of stock/inventory management.
