Day Time Support Worker (Term Time only)
Nailsworth
40 hours per week, 37 weeks per year (term time only)
Salary Range (FTE) £23,886 (if over the age of 21) per annum subject to qualifications
Actual Salary for 40 hours and 37 weeks is £19,493
After further completion of relevant RMT courses and increased length of service there is a potential to earn up £24,120 (FTE)
*Applicants who apply for this role directly will receive a Welcome Bonus of £1500 (subject to Tax/NI) after successful completion of their 6-month probation period*
We have opportunities available to join Ruskin Mill College, Ruskin Mill Trust, as part of the committed day time support team focusing on the holistic needs of the students.

To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a strong desire to support young people,
- Have excellent observational skills, and the ability to problem solve and think creatively to enable our young people to reimagine their potential
- Be patient, caring, compassionate with a young person-centred nature
- Demonstrate the ability to manage emotionally challenging situations with emotional intelligence and resilience, and to have the capacity to react calmly in stressful situations
- Be a team player with experience of support work in both educational and residential setting
- NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care would be desirable, but not essential, as Ruskin Mill Trust will provide comprehensive training and support.
