This role is for experienced Health Care Professional with a background in Health Living (Weight Management, public health or stop smoking) to take on a senior Service delivery role.

ABL Health have launched a new Healthy Lifestyle service in Gloucestershire, commissioned by Gloucestershire County Council. This transformative service seeks to work collaboratively with communities to transform the lives of the local population. The service will support residents around weight management, stop smoking, reduce alcohol consumption, get more active and improve their wellbeing – all embedded in sustainable behaviour change.  The service will also deliver the 1001 days programme supporting families and young children and the Healthy Workplace award scheme.

This is a leadership role where the post holder will have a real influence on the clinical and operational excellence of the service. The post holder will take a pro-active lead in building relationships, partnerships and alliances in the community, secondary care, and primary care settings, and supporting specialist advisors to deliver outcomes that benefit clients referred to the service.  The role will require you to embed our obesity, stop smoking and wellbeing strategies across services and to improve outcomes through regular observation, upskilling, and training staff, and supporting staff to use the alternative approaches. They will be responsible for the line management of staff working across Gloucestershire.

The post holder must have extensive knowledge and hand’s-on experience in public health or behaviour-change settings.
