Part time Qualified Dental Nurse - DNPTJul2024

Tewkesbury

An opportunity has opened up for a qualified dental nurse to join our growing practice on a part-time basis, initially on Mondays (0845 till 6 pm), Tuesdays (0845 till 6 pm) and Thursdays (0845 till 5.30 pm) and one Saturday per month (08:45 till 2.30 pm) with a view to increasing days by mutual agreement as the practice grows.

May suit experienced or newly qualified nurse to work alongside a trainee apprentice nurse, experienced receptionist and principal dentist. Practice already has two experienced part-time hygienists but looking to recruit another dentist.

Tewkesbury Dental is an established practice in the heart of Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, nicely situated off the High Street. It an independently owned, private practice caring for all age groups offering general and preventive dentistry alongside Invisalign and facial aesthetics.

We are a modern, two-surgery practice. We are air-conditioned, and have modern and fully digitized surgeries feature Dentally software with Itero scanner and intra oral cameras.

• You will assist the dental team during patient treatment procedures
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the surgery and equipment
• Prepare instruments and materials for dental procedures
• Provide excellent patient care and support throughout their visit
• Ensure accurate record-keeping and documentation
• Support with administrative tasks as needed including compliance.

We are looking for

• GDC registered dental nurse or GCSE in Maths and English at grade C or equivalent (for apprentice)
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow
• Proactive, energetic, and customer service-oriented
• Strong team player with effective communication skills

Hours

• Part-time availability Monday 08:45 till 6.00 pm, Tuesday 08:45 am till 6.00 pm and Thursday 08:45 am till 6 .00 pm and one 1/2 Saturday per month (08:45 am till 2.30 pm).
• Some flexibility to cover extra hours during the week for staff holidays and sickness would be advantageous.
