Domestic Couple Housekeeper and Gardener
Near Stow on the Wold
£70,000 pa
- Live-In Option
- Two Bedroom Cottage Included
- 8 am- 4 pm & 1 pm 9 pm shifts on a rota basis
The Burford Recruitment Company seeks an experienced and dedicated Domestic Couple to join our client s team at a prestigious private estate. With this being a Live-In position, you will be offered a 2-bedroom cottage on the estate. The ideal candidates will have a proven track record of longevity and excellence in the private service industry. This role requires a high level of expertise, commitment, and attention to detail in gardening and housekeeping duties.
Gardener s Role
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the Head Gardener to maintain the garden to a high horticultural standard.
- Oversee the general maintenance of the garden, including mowing, weeding, hedge cutting, and border maintenance.
- Care for the garden s diverse areas, including the Walled Garden, Greenhouses, Plant Nursery, Formal Lawns, Arboretum, Rose Garden, Formal Gardens, Hot Borders, Stream Gardens, Woodland Gardens, Topiary, Rock Garden, and Heather Garden.
Qualifications:
- A RHS horticultural qualification is desired.
- Spray certificates PA1/PA6 are desired.
- Chainsaw certification is an advantage.
Housekeeper s Role
Responsibilities:
- Liaise effectively with the Head Housekeeper.
- Perform all aspects of housekeeping, including laundry and ironing, to a high standard.
- Undertake both deep cleaning and routine cleaning tasks.
- Work as part of the housekeeping team and independently as needed.
- Follow instructions and house manuals meticulously.
- Ensure the main residence and guest accommodation are immaculate and welcoming at all times.
- Assist in receiving and unloading weekly shopping and replenishing household supplies.
- Report room breakages and deficiencies to the Head Housekeeper.
- Supervise contractors in family areas when requested.
- Ensure all bedrooms and internal areas are correctly stocked and clean.
Salary: £70,000 Annual +
Hours Per Week: Full Time
