Nursery Chef - Part time

Tewkesbury

25 hours (approx) per week
Monday - Friday

We are looking for a part time chef to join our family run, independent nursery caring for up to 37 children per day.

Possibility of term-time only contract.

Key responsibilities will include:

* Providing health, balanaced, nutritious, freshly prepared meals and snacks in line with food safety regulations and Skallywags best practice.
* Organising and maintaining kitchen standards ensuring all allergies, intolerances and dietary requirements are adhered to.
* Adhering to budgets and forecasts according to children's actual attendance.
* Maintaining stock levels and ordering new supplies.
* Maintaining high 5* food hygiene standards in the kitchen
* Completing regular high and low level cleaning of surfaces, areas and equipment.

Desirable attributes:

* Food Hygiene Level 2 (or willingness to complete)
* Experience of preparing food with fresh ingredients
* High standards of personal hygiene
* Allergy and intolerance awareness

We ensure safeguarding legislation and guidance are adhered to and have policies and procedures in place that all members of staff are expected to understand and follow with support from our designated safeguarding lead.

All staff are trained to a level appropriate to their safeguarding responsibilities and are expects to attend both internal and external training sessions.

Applicants will be subject to recruitment and selection procedures. The procedures include interview questions, verification of identity and qualifications, acquiring references and DBS disclosure check.
