Early Years Manager

Cinderford

Earlybirds is a committee-led charity implementing the Curiosity approach and has been successfully running for over 20 years. We are based in Cinderford, the heart of the Forest of Dean, and provide care for children aged 2-4 years. We pride ourselves on being child focused.

The role advertised is for 21 hours per week. There is the opportunity for regular overtime, which is subject to change weekly based on the setting's needs. The Salary will be £ 13884 per annum (not including any overtime which is paid on an hour-by-hour basis each month).

We are a thriving local playgroup searching for a co-manager to join our small, dedicated team. This is a job share position, in which you will collaborate closely with our current manager to lead and inspire our team in their daily tasks while jointly envisioning an exciting future for our playgroup. The successful candidate will be required to be named as the nominated person for Ofsted and so should be confident in this area as well as taking a role in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining our high standards. The successful candidate will be required to contribute actively to the ongoing development and implementation of a dynamic and stimulating curriculum, fostering the growth and development of young minds.

We are looking for a candidate who will be imaginative, creative, and fun. For example, not afraid to dress up, be covered in paint or gloop, can blast into a nursery rhyme at any given opportunity, and most importantly will have fun as well as have the following important attributes:

Essentials

A minimum of level 3 in Early Years, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience.

Desirables

Completed recent, relevant First Aid, Safeguarding, Safer Recruitment, and Food Hygiene training.
Experience working alongside a committee in a committee-run setting.

The committee is looking for someone who they can work closely with to achieve the best outcomes for the setting and its children.
