Mini Bus Driver
Stonehouse, Gloucestershire
At Wycliffe our transport team is a very important part of our school providing professional and safe transport services to the whole Wycliffe community. We are now seeking a friendly and polite individual to drive one of our modern minibuses on a set evening route, during the following hours:
Evening School run between 6.30pm and 9.00pm, Monday - Friday, term time only.
The roles are based at our Senior school in Stonehouse.
Responsibilities and duties:
- Driving College minibuses in a safe, legal way, via designated routes, in order to transport pupils from/to their home or agreed meeting points at the published times.
- Keeping a register of those using the service.
- Checking the vehicle for any damage, defects and faults and report accordingly to the Transport Office.
- Completing accurate and timely mileage logs for every journey undertaken.
- Ensuring vehicles are free of litter and left in a safe and secure manner at the end of each journey.
- Following Wycliffe policies and procedures regarding the safe transportation of pupils.
- By arrangement and on a casual basis, carrying out other transport duties in liaison with the Transport Co-ordinator and as directed by the Transport Manager.
Requirements:
- Applicants will need to be confident with a warm and flexible approach, and be able to show initiative as well as possessing basic IT skills.
- Drivers must hold a full UK driving licence with D or D1 categories and with a minimum of two years driving experience.
