After School Club Leader/Assistant - Computing

Stroud & Cirencester

We have a number of exciting opportunities to join our team at Jam Coding delivering Computing/Coding Workshops for After School Clubs. Full training will be given to the successful applicant; you do not need extensive prior knowledge in this area.

This role would suit a retired Teacher, Trainee Teacher, Teaching Assistant, students studying towards early years care qualifications. Computing students and Computing enthusiasts.

The ideal candidate should have:

● A positive attitude to helping young people succeed through teamwork, confidence building and exploration.

● A sound general knowledge of IT/Computers. Full training provided.

● An excellent communicator who is well organised and punctual.

Desirable:

● A teaching qualification, childcare qualification, teaching assistant qualification, experience of teaching or training young people (or be working towards).

● All candidates will need a DBS qualification to work within this job role. This can be ascertained on behalf of the successful candidate.

● A driving licence and a car.

We are positive role models for the learners we teach, giving them safe, well-structured sessions to explore learning opportunities within a number of areas of computing. This includes animation, coding, robotics and much more.

FLEXIBLE HOURS

The hours of work will typically be 15:00-17:00 Monday to Friday during school term time, with extra hours available during holiday periods.
