Project Co-ordinator & Estimator
Cheltenham
Reports To: Managing Director
Works Closely with: Multi Site Foreman, Foreman. Office Administrator
Location: Emotive Landscapes Office, various project sites, mainly in Gloucestershire and surrounding counties but occasionally beyond
This exciting new post has been created to support the growing business and is the ideal opportunity to join us as we build our own offices and barn at our base in Shurdington. We are looking for your experience as described in our job profile but also looking for someone with these skills to make the role their own enabling the company to take the next step in the growth of our business.

We design and build gardens that are uniquely tailored to each of our client’s specific needs, tastes and lifestyles. Great customer service and communication are at the heart of everything we do and are key to delivering our clients with a first-class landscaping experience, from initial enquiry through to delivery of the finished garden and beyond.
Job Purpose:
Reporting directly to the Managing Director and working closely with the Multi Site Foreman, Foreman and Office Administrator they will ensure that Emotive Landscapes landscaping projects are delivered safely to a high standard, on time and on budget whilst exceeding our client’s expectations.
The role requires analytical skills and a strong attention to detail in order to develop Project Plans that are accurately costed and budgeted. The ability to source materials in a timely fashion for delivery to site will be vital, ensuring that project timelines are met and that the Landscaping Teams are able to deliver their project to the highest standard.
Communication and the ability to work alongside the Landscaping Teams is a huge part of this role and as such, you will support them in delivering the projects whilst ensuring Health & Safety standards are met. Communication with all stakeholders including clients in order to support the company’s values and objectives will be vital.
Key Knowledge:
- Relevant experience/qualification in landscaping or construction
- Good understanding of landscape construction or construction
- Basic principles of horticulture desirable not essential
- Good knowledge of H&S requirements including Risk Assessments, COSHH and Method Statements
- Knowledge of project planning, budgets, timelines and effective people management
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Manage and oversee domestic landscaping projects across multiple sites.
- Work with Managing Director & Foremen.
- Understanding of design drawings and technical specifications.
- Able to plan, prioritise and organise workflows in order to bring projects in on budget, on spec, on time.
- Ability to problem solve.
- Ability to multitask and maintain standards across multiple sites.
- Able to assess and deploy resources (both people and materials) to ensure timely distribution of resources to keep projects on time and on budget.
- Good knowledge of Health & Safety requirements including Method statements, CDM, Risk Assessments and COSHH Assessments.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and relevant software
- Ideally experience of estimating software
- Commercial or financial experience including reporting, monitoring analysis and evaluating.
- Proven experience in building and managing relationships with both staff and clients.
- Driving Licence essential.
