Dear Subscriber,
With two Jobs Fairs coming up as currently advertised on GlosJobs.co.uk, do you need help on making the most of them? Job fairs are an opportunity to connect with potential employers and explore new career paths. However, it can also be daunting, as you’ll be vying for the attention of recruiters alongside many other job seekers. To make a good impression be prepared:
- Find out who is attending (GlosJobs will be at both!) and set yourself a goals such as speaking to at least 3 companies that you are interested in working for.
- Be prepared by making sure you take an up to date CV and think of some questions to ask employers.
- Smile when you introduce your self and practise what you are going to say.
- Take notes as you go and take the names and contact details of people you meet.
- Be patient during the fair as you may need to wait in line to see the companies that you are interested in. Use this time to update your notes.
- After the fair follow up any potential jobs or companies that you are interested in.
