Site Assistant

Gloucester

Contract:  Permanent

Start Date:  As soon as possible

An opportunity has arisen to join the friendly site team at Ribston Hall High School as Site Assistantreporting to the Site Manager.  The site team consists of a team of three together with our own inhouse cleaning team.

This is an ideal opportunity for a highly committed, enthusiastic and active person to join us and help maintain our school site, ensuring that the school is kept clean and well maintained providing a pleasant and inspiring environment for students and staff to learn and work.

Previous maintenance experience is essential.  This could be gained from previous experience of working in a school, a trade or strong DIY skills.  Job specific training will be provided where required. The successful candidate will also hold a full driving licence and be willing to drive the school minibus.

To ensure the school has access to site services throughout the working day it is expected that the postholder will work with the Site Manager and Deputy Site Manager to deliver a service between the hours of 6.30am and 5pm, shift patterns to be agreed.  An ability to work flexibly on occasion is required.

The salary is based on National Joint Council for Government workers scale points, with access to the Local Government Pension Scheme.
