Job description
Gloucestershire Professional Services (GPS) is recruiting a Head of Marketing to join the Marketing team based at Gloucestershire College.

As the Head of Marketing, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team to build and drive the College brand and marketing strategy. The successful candidate will be a talented and committed manager with excellent strategic planning, communication and project management skills.

This key role provides strategic direction in developing and executing plans to effectively market the college and drive recruitment efforts within the allocated budgets. It builds on the college's current position, capitalises on new digital opportunities, and targets new markets to ensure a cohesive approach to achieving the growth outlined in the strategic plan.

Our Marketing department plays a key role in promoting the college's courses, services, and achievements to prospective students, parents, local communities, and employers. The department is responsible for planning and delivering marketing strategies that enhance the college's visibility and reputation. This includes creating promotional materials, managing the college's website and social media platforms, and organizing events such as open days, career fairs, and information sessions.

The team works closely with academic departments to highlight the college’s diverse range of courses, from vocational and technical programs to higher education pathways. We also focus on engaging target audiences, including school-leavers, adult learners and employers. The Marketing department also supports the college’s internal communications, ensuring that staff and students are informed about key events, updates, and initiatives. We collaborate with various departments to maintain a consistent brand image and messaging across all platforms. Ultimately, the marketing department plays a crucial role in driving student enrolment, fostering community engagement, and supporting the college’s overall growth and success.
