Nursery Cook - Part Time - 30 hours

Tewkesbury

We are looking for a nursery cook to join our small and welcoming team at Country Pumpkins Day Nursery in Beckford, near Tewkesbury.

This is a lovely role that would suit somebody with a love of home cooking, who is able to maintain meticulously high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.

You would be responsible for preparing and cooking breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea for up to 40 children, catering for children who may have allergies and intolerances and would have sole responsibility for maintaining a clean and orderly kitchen environment. You would be following established recipes, however there is scope to bring your own creativity to adapt and refresh menus periodically.

Some experience of cooking for large groups would be advantageous, although not essential as full training will be given. Certificates in Food Hygiene and Allergen Awareness will be a required and can be obtained through us if not already in place.

The ideal hours will be Monday – Friday 8am- 2pm, although we may be able to alter these if required.
Any appointment would be subject to pre-recruitment checks including obtaining references and a DBS check.
