Payroll Officer Role - Outskirts Of Cheltenham, Gloucestershire - £25,000 - £30,000 per annum - Hays

Hays Accountancy & Finance are exclusively recruiting for a leading Aviation group based on the outskirts of Cheltenham, Gloucestershire for a dynamic and experienced Payroll Officer. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Payroll Officer will be responsible for three monthly payrolls currently operated by the business, process improvements and ensuring standard processes across the business. An exciting opportunity to join a well-established organisation in a varied and hands-on payroll position where you can really add value.

Your new role

Your key duties will include processing and collecting payroll data for three payrolls, in accordance with required deadlines (supporting approx. 400 employees). You will administer and process relevant company pension schemes including auto-enrolment, have responsibility for the time/attendance systems, along with being the liaison point for the payroll provider and employee queries. You will be involved in payroll compliance including the completion of statutory payments, pensions procedures, RTI, p45's, p60's and p11ds. You will process all holiday entitlements, child care vouchers along with cycle scheme administration. You will support the Finance Manager in payroll process improvement, payroll reporting along with ad-hoc projects. This position is extremely hands-on, as you will be the sole Payroll Officer for the Group.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this exciting Payroll Officer position you will need experience within a similar role, with a strong understanding of payroll/pension scheme regulations, ability to work under pressure along with key MS excel skills. You will need strong communication skills to build internal/external relationships, high accuracy levels along with a flexible approach. It would be advantageous but not essential if you have a payroll qualification, candidates qualified by experience will be considered.
