Governance & Risk Manager

Cirencester

The Royal Agricultural University (RAU) is going through a period of exciting and dynamic change. At the forefront of agricultural education since it’s foundation as the Royal Agricultural College in 1845, the University now has some 1,200 undergraduate students from over 45 different countries studying at the historic campus, set in 25 acres of magnificent grounds in the heart of the Cotswolds. A full University since 2013, the RAU is an acknowledged leader in education and applied research relevant to the land-based industries.

The RAU is seeking an outstanding professional to undertake the role of Governance & Risk Manager. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the role is key in ensuring that the RAU meets high standards of governance and probity in all its activities and is required to provide excellent administrative and company secretarial support services to the Governing Council and its Committees. The role will also be instrumental in assisting in the development and management of both a policy and risk management framework and will assist in the co-ordination and reporting around the internal audit programme.

You will have prior experience in a similar role, will possess the gravitas to build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders and will be able to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment, capable of co-ordinating competing priorities across multiple projects and business areas.
