Gloucestershire based business is looking for an ambitious Damp and Timber Surveyor to join the team in a new role. This fast-growing well-established PCA member company provides a complete range of remedial services including damp proofing, structural waterproofing, dry rot control, timber treatment, specialist membrane installation, basement conversion, tanking, condensation control, plastering contractors, radon protection and solar powered ventilation to clients across Gloucestershire and the surrounding towns and counties including Cheltenham, Tewkesbury, Stroud, The Cotswolds, Monmouthshire, Forest of Dean, Hereford and Worcester.
Qualifications and Experience.

CSSW qualified (or equivalent qualification and experience such as CSTDB, CSDB, CSRT).

Full training and support will be provided for the right candidate.

Experienced specifying and costing surveyor with proven track-record in conducting surveys and providing expert advice on waterproofing systems.

Strong knowledge of waterproofing materials, methods, and industry standards.

Building and/or structural engineering understanding is needed.

Excellent communication and report-writing skills.

Fully computer literate including Word and Outlook

Attention to detail and a strong ability to identify potential issues.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Full driving licence, with no more than 6 points.
Key Responsibilities.
Visit at least three properties per day to undertake rising damp, condensation or dry rot surveys and inspectionfor new and existing construction projects and buildings.

Assess the condition of waterproofing systems and identify potential issues.

Offer recommendations and courses of action including expert recommendations on the choice of materials, systems, and solutions for waterproofing.

Collaborate with project managers, architects, construction teams, etc to ensure the effective implementation of remedial and waterproofing solutions.
Prepare detailed reports on survey findings, including cost estimates and project timelines.

These will need to be typedsame day using templated report forms and backed up with clear photographic evidence.

Recording and maintaining of accurate records
Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory requirements relevant to the role and industry.
Travel throughout Gloucestershire and parts of Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Monmouthshire and Cotswolds

Surveys are in mostly private residential homes, rented properties or commercial premises.
