Finance Assistant

Cheltenham

We are looking for a permanent, full time (37.5 hours per week) Finance Assistant (£22,000.00 - £24,000.00pa salary range) to start as early as 17/06/2024.

To start from week commencing 17/06/2024.

Join our dynamic family of businesses in the thriving food industry. Originally a small, family-run enterprise, we've evolved into a robust team of 30 professionals. We're currently seeking a dedicated Finance Assistant to become a permanent member of our growing team.

Responsibilities

Credit Control: Proactively manage outstanding debts through effective communication via telephone and email.

General Administration: Contribute to overall administrative efficiency through various tasks.

Collaboration: Work seamlessly with other departments to streamline processes and enhance overall operational efficiency.

Data Accuracy: Ensure precise entry and maintenance of financial data.

Query Resolution: Investigate and resolve issues related to non-payment of invoices.

Ledger Management: Handle entries for both Sales and Purchase Ledgers.

Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications

Attention to Detail: Demonstrate a keen eye for detail with a commitment to high accuracy levels.

Numerical Aptitude: Showcase solid numerical or mathematical competency.

Prioritisation Skills: Ability to prioritise tasks effectively, especially when dealing with high work volumes.

Hardworking: Exhibit a strong work ethic, dedicated to delivering consistent and high-quality performance.

Reliability: Proven track record of reliability and commitment to meeting deadlines and responsibilities.

Educational Background: Minimum of 5 GCSE Grades A - C.

Finance Experience: Ideally, at least 3 years proven finance experience.

Communication Skills: Exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills.

Microsoft Office Proficiency: Competently use Microsoft Office tools.

Sage 50 Experience: Previous experience with Sage 50 is preferred.
