Benefit LIFT Officer

Publica is seeking a Benefit LIFT (Low income family tracker) Officer.
About the role
The Benefits LIFT Officer will play a crucial role in using the Low Income Family Tracker (LIFT) platform to identify households that might be entitled to additional financial support.
The role involves collaborating with other agencies and stakeholders such as residents and internal and external partners to ensure that recipients receive the full benefits they are entitled to.
This includes assessing eligibility, processing claims, advising applicants, and maintaining records in accordance with relevant laws and regulations
The Benefit LIFT Officer will make a real and lasting difference to some of the more vulnerable residents within our communities.
Please note upon starting the role there will be a requirement to work from the office full time for training and support. Once this is established the successful candidate will have the flexibility to work from home and in the office.
You will need
- A minimum qualification equivalent to NVQ level 3 or A level, and/or three years relevant experience
- Ability to build customer relationships
- Knowledge and experience in assessing complex situations and carrying out inspections
- Ability to remain calm and confident when dealing with challenging customers
- Ability to resolve complex issues by negotiation

Salary: £32,307 - £33,798 per annum
