About the Role
We are looking to recruit an administrator to support the Children and Families Commissioning Hub. The role is one of five that will be providing administrative support to the Children and Families Commissioning Hub and working in the following areas
- Hub Administration and Finance
- Access to Resources
- Short Breaks
- Strategic Commissioning
Your role would be to support the teams with a variety of administrative tasks to support commissioning processes including, administrating meetings, Provider Due Diligence, processing financial documents, and providing good customer service in person, on the telephone and via email.
Duties will include: -
- Monitoring generic mailboxes and responding to customer enquiries and service referrals via email and telephone.
- Accurately creating and updating electronic records using spreadsheets and databases including Liquid Logic, Proactis, Controcc and SAP (training on these will be provided)
- Preparing documents using Microsoft Word
- Updating spreadsheets using Excel
- Booking meetings using Microsoft Teams and our internal room booking system
- Processing finance requests
- A positive and flexible approach to team working to include providing cover for other administrators' leave and cross team support at peak work periods as required.
The role is based at Shire Hall in Gloucester. Initially office-based full time while you undertake induction and training, there will be an opportunity to hybrid work using GCC’s secure IT equipment. There is a requirement within the team for the post holder to work a proportion of their week in Shire Hall with colleagues. Agile working is subject to the needs of the service being met.
About You
To be successful you will need excellent written and verbal communication skills, a high standard of IT skills with experience of using a wide range of systems and packages, and sound collaboration and organisational skills to enable you to work with colleagues to prioritise workloads and ensure that our statutory and departmental deadlines are met.
You will be customer-focused and able to build effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, which include schools, other public sector services, parents, early years settings, and suppliers.
