About the Role & Team
We are looking for a motivated person who has great potential to join our amazing Performance and Improvement team. We feel privileged to work together and do what we do, and would love to welcome someone who wants to develop into this area of work.
We celebrate the diversity within our team with ages spanning nearly 3 decades, a mix of males and females and sexualities. We hail from various parts of the UK but love our Gloucestershire home. Some of the team hold degrees, have neurodivergence or have been with us since post-school apprenticeships learning on the job. In all cases, we pride ourselves on developing from within, supporting team retention, cohesion and stability. We look forward to meeting you, with all of your own individualism that you will bring to the team, helping us to continue to broaden our insights and understanding.
Your role will have a key focus on supporting the more senior officers in the team with the preparation and presentation of performance information, helping us to ensure that performance messages are clear and enable strong operational management and strategic oversight. You will also be working with the Deputy Manager and Performance and Improvement Assistant to investigate new functionality within our performance management system and make best use of this to improve the visual presentation of performance information for Managers and decision makers across our organisation.
About You
This is a new post within our team and is, initially, a two-year fixed term post. Should this role become permanent, it is a developmental role as part of our career grade progression scheme allowing people to move through the grades from 7 to 9 as they build their skills and knowledge. The right person may therefore have the opportunity to progress with us over time. As such, you should be keen and quick to learn and have a curious mind.
We are looking for someone who is super-organised, has a creative approach, enjoys solving puzzles and problems and has a willing, 'can do' attitude. You will be friendly and approachable, and comfortable talking with people to help you understand how we can provide a positive customer experience for those using the performance management system. You will go far with our team if you are energetic and enthusiastic about delivering continuous improvement in the work we do, and in your own development.
You should be able to evidence good organisation and prioritisation skills and demonstrate that you have managed a successful project. Experience of working with or configuring systems will be beneficial, or you should be able to demonstrate how having a logical mind has helped you to manage tasks in a step by step way to achieve a desired end result.
About Us
For all your hard work, you will receive the following:
- Flexible and agile working opportunities
- 25.5 days annual leave rising to 30.5 days after 5 years continuous service
- An option to purchase 10 days of additional leave per year (pro rata for part-time staff)
- Family friendly employer offering benefits to help support you and your family
- Career development and qualification opportunities
- Supportive and positive working environment with regular, robust supervision
