Communications Administrator

Stroud

The School of Health educates adults in the world of natural healthcare. We create, design, and manage our portfolio of incredible courses that range from Naturopathy and Nutrition to Herbs and Homeopathy. We have a dedicated and friendly small team in our lovely Stroud admin office and, together, we manage the various teams of people who work with us remotely: faculty, tutors, authors, partners, suppliers - and, of course, students. We have a clear vision about who we are and what we do, and we love working with vibrant hard-working folk.

About the Role:
We are seeking a Communications Administrator to join our team and play a pivotal role in maintaining the efficiency and organisation of our office environment. The ideal candidate will have a positive can-do attitude and be able to turn their hand to all sorts. They will be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks, with a particular emphasis on utilising our website CMS, managing social media channels, and supporting student engagement through various communication platforms. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, excellent communication skills, a helpful friendly persona, and a proactive approach to managing multiple tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
- Utilise the website CMS to update content, course materials, and announcements.
- Regularly post engaging content on the school’s social media channels to promote events, courses, and student achievements.
- Manage student WhatsApp groups, facilitating communication and engagement among students and staff.
- Proactively contact inactive students to encourage re-engagement with school activities and offerings.
- Conduct monthly check-ins with students to assess progress, address concerns, and provide support as needed.
- Create engaging news blogs to highlight school events, student achievements, and relevant industry updates.
- Process orders efficiently, including invoicing, receipts, and tracking inventory.
- Maintain accurate student records, including enrolment information, attendance, and academic progress.
- Assist in coordinating and supporting teachers and students during online events and webinars.
- Manage clinic hours and appointments, ensuring smooth operation and excellent customer service.
- Finding and managing new partner relationships.

Qualifications and Skills:
- A keen interest in natural health and the sector, ideally with a qualification in nutrition, or homeopathy, herbal medicine, or naturopathy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent grammar and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
- Quick learner with the ability to navigate various computer systems and web admin tools.
- Familiarity with both Mac and PC platforms preferred.
- Ability to prioritise tasks effectively and work independently in a studious environment.
- Previous experience with CMS platforms is preferred but not required.
- Previous experience social media management needed on FB, Insta, X and LinkedIn.
- Typing speed and accuracy, with knowledge of computer design packages being a plus.
