Maintenance Volunteer
Cheltenham
About the role
Our buildings and grounds make it possible for us to provide 24 hour care to people when they need it most. In this role you’ll work with our maintenance team carrying out everyday tasks that help our hospice run to the highest standard.
Activities will usually include:
- Painting and decorating
- Washing/cleaning hospice vehicles
- Moving furniture or equipment
- Clearing outdoor paths
- Upkeep of the outside areas
- Minor repairs and fault finding
How often we’d like your support
We hope you’ll volunteer 3 - 6 hours a week, but all our roles are flexible to suit you.
What we hope you’ll bring to the role
You might not have experience of everything on this list. That’s fine; finding the right person is more important to us than ticking all the boxes.
We hope you’ll:
- Understand how important health and safety is
- Have basic maintenance skills
- Be reliable
- Have a warm and friendly approach
- Be able to work on your own and as part of a team

- Completing the relevant checks and training needed for the role.
