Manual Machinist - MM1
Cheltenham
Nixon Flowmeters are a precision engineering company with decades of experience, specialising in producing high accuracy instruments to many classes of industries.
We are currently seeking a skilled and versatile Manual Machinist to work in our small workshop on milling and turning of stainless steel components.
Main responsibilities:
- Operating manual lathes and milling machines.
- Ensuring precise machining working to tolerances.
- Producing good surface finishes both internally and externally.
- Cutting screw threads.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Inspecting machined components using measuring instruments.
Other responsibilities:
The role will also require involvement in assembly and fitting, using hand tools.
Full training can be provided if necessary.
