Care Assistant - HJ0582

Gloucester

Full time or part time position available to support a 42 year old disabled guy with a brain injury.
He is wheelchair confined and depends on the support of 2-1 at all times. He lives in his own home which is situated close by to his parents home in Gloucester.

Due to his disability, He requires assistance with most aspects of day to day living. The following though not exhaustive are some of the areas You would be required to support and assist him with.

• All Personal care needs,
• Dressing,/undressing.
• Assisting with meals and drinks.
• Assisting him with his home therapy program/basic daily exercises.
• Accompanying him for doctors and hospital appointments as required.
• Accompanying him on social outings.
• Help keeping his home clean and tidy.
• Preparing basic meals.
• Driving him in his own car as and when required.

Due to the severity of his condition, he cannot easily communicate, therefore he has a written down daily report schedule that his care team are required to follow. It is of upmost importance that you are able to follow a written down strict and structured routine. A good understanding of the English language is a must.

You must be a driver with a full uk drivers licence.

Experience in care is essential.

Must be able to teamwork.

You must be friendly and have a genuine desire to help.

Must be honest and reliable.

Hold an up to-date DBS disclosure

References must be provided.

Salary: from £12.50 - £15.00ph subject to suitability and experience
