Role Title – Dramatic Change ‘Content Creators’ Volunteer
Summary of the Role
Inclusion Gloucestershire’s Dramatic Change groups are part of our wider advocacy offer.
Our new social media group ‘Content Creators’ will be an 8-week course with the aim to provide an opportunity for neurodivergent individuals, who are part of the LGBTQIA+ community, to produce issue-based videos for social media, on topics that are important to them.
The aim of this project is that participants learn new skills, experience increased wellbeing and confidence and have their voice heard on their chosen issue-based topics.
The Dramatic Change ‘Content Creators’ Volunteer will work alongside the Coordinator and Expert by Experience to facilitate the running of this course.
Role Purpose
To support the facilitation of the Content Creators course.
Reports to
Content Creator (DRAMA) Coordinator
Weekly hours:
3 hours, term-time only.
Minimum period:
8 weeks between September and November 2024
Induction to take place during July or August
Regular working pattern:
Tuesdays 10.00am – 12.30pm
10th September 2024 – 22nd October 2024
+ 12th November 2024 (evaluation session)

Main Duties and Responsibilities
- To support members in participation of discussions, activities and to support in the set-up and clear-up of equipment.
- Establish and maintain professional working relationships with colleagues, volunteers and stakeholders of Inclusion Gloucestershire and the broad range of external organisations we work with.
- Be aware and act on the need to report safeguarding concerns (this may include providing some initial support to individuals in the office, before passing on to the Safeguarding Lead).
- Advocate for Inclusion Gloucestershire and its projects at meetings and events and within your own appropriate networks.
- This role profile is not exhaustive and may be subject to change to meet the operational needs of the charity.
Overall Role:
- Support individuals to participate in activities.
- Participate in whole group activities where possible.
- Facilitate small group discussions, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to share ideas.
- Take notes during group work to capture discussions and ideas when required.
- Support during filming with practical and creative tasks, such as sound recording or line-prompting.
- Offer constructive input into debrief sessions.
- Support with set up and clear up of session equipment, such as chairs, drinks, tables, ipads etc.
Essential Requirements for this Post
- Genuine interest in working with people with a range of needs including learning disabilities, physical disabilities, autism and people with lived experience of mental ill health.
- Genuine interest in working with people from the LGBTQIA+ Community.
- To be honest, reliable and trustworthy.
- To adhere to confidentiality when required.
- Able to develop positive working relationships with people.
- Able to build rapport with others and support them to feel comfortable.
- Able to follow instructions but also work on own initiative
- Be calm, caring and sensitive to others.
- Have excellent listening skills.
- Confident in facilitating small group work.
- Be willing to learn. No previous film or social media experience is required.
Desirable
- Have lived experience of neurodivergence and the LGBTQIA+ community.
- Experience in film and social media
