Part-time Teacher of Geography KS4 - AQA
Gloucester
We are seeking a dedicated and visionary KS4 (Y10) Geography teacher. 4 X 45min lessons on Friday mornings 8:40am - 12pm.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering a positive learning environment, implementing educational programmes, and ensuring the academic success of all students. This role requires strong subject knowledge, a commitment to educational excellence, and the ability to engage with students & SLT.
Responsibilities
- To implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students and to support a designated curriculum area as appropriate.
- To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students.
- To facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.
- To contribute to raising standards of student attainment.
- To share and support the school’s responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth.
Experience
- A science degree or a related field is essential; a PGCE/QTS is preferred.
- Strong understanding of curriculum development and instructional strategies that enhance student learning.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage conflict, and inspire others towards a common goal.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with educational trends and policies.
