Linden Primary School are looking for a lunchtime play leader to join our dedicated and friendly staff, working directly with our wonderful pupils to help them thrive personally. The successful candidates will be able to positively interact with the children, fostering strong relationships and promoting our school ethos. Experience is not essential; however, it would be an advantage and we welcome applications from dedicated individuals, who will nurture, support, motivate and inspire others to strive for the best.

We are looking for someone who is:
• Able to form positive relationships and ensure good standards of behaviour by the children are maintained by following the school’s Behaviour Management Policy.
• Committed to working collaboratively with other staff to help our children achieve their potential
• Able to help create a culture and ethos where all children can form positive relationships with others and cultivate purposeful and active play
• An excellent communicator and demonstrates openness and honesty
• A creative thinker, who can help children to be actively engaged in play
• Provide welfare support to the children of the school, including undertaking first aid duties (depending on training)
• Attend appropriate training sessions in order to increase knowledge and skills.

Your hours of work will be 12.00pm to 1.30pm Monday to Friday.

Appointments to the school are made with reference to the latest safeguarding guidance and Keeping Children Safe in Education and will involve additional safeguarding checks including DBS checks, references and exemption from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the amendments to the Exceptions Order 1975, 2013 and 2020. Furthermore, the school may conduct online searches of publicly available information as part of due diligence with shortlisted applicants.

This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expects all staff, and volunteers, to share the same commitment. This position is subject to an enhanced DBS check and any other vetting procedures as appropriate.
