Parenting and Wellbeing Centre Administrator
Office Based, Berkeley, Gloucestershire
Position: Administrator
Employment Type: Part-time (20 hours per week, 10 am - 2 pm, Monday - Friday)
Contract: Maternity cover starting January 2025

The Centre of Excellence in Child Trauma (CoECT) is a supportive community dedicated to empowering parents of children who have experienced adverse childhood experiences or present with neurodivergent characteristics. Our mission is to create a space where parents can build relationships, gain knowledge, and share experiences.
We believe in the power of empathy and inclusivity, striving to raise awareness about compassion fatigue and providing support to parents who experience it. Our goal is to help children reach their full potential by fostering genuine relationships and understanding their unique needs.
CoECT combines resources, research, and knowledge from leading experts in the field of child trauma. We offer a range of services, including therapeutic parenting support, trauma-informed training, and advocacy.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and organised Parenting & Wellbeing Centre Administrator to help manage and coordinate various services and programs that support families. This role involves receptionist duties such as answering the phone, promoting services on social media, providing administrative support in organising events, and coordinating our online shop orders including our bi -monthly parenting magazine.
Key Responsibilities:
Shop and TIPs Magazine:
- Oversee the running of the shop, managing stock, and marketing products.
- Manage the distribution of TIPS Magazine, both postal and electronic versions.
Virtual Support:
- Organise and facilitate Virtual Listening Circles/Peer support sessions.
- Schedule 20-minute consultations for clients with our therapeutic team, to provide support and guidance to parents.
Advocacy:
- Coordinate advocacy services to support parents, ensuring they have access to necessary resources and assistance.
- Match clients with advocates based on experience and knowledge.
Day Retreats:
- Plan and organise day retreats, coordinating with venues and ensuring all arrangements, including dietary requirements, are planned.
Rest & Relaxation Sessions:
- Schedule and promote rest and relaxation sessions, ensuring they are accessible and beneficial to clients.
Social media marketing:
- Promote our services across our social media platform and within our facebook group which has 45k members.
Qualifications:
- Level 3 Administration qualification
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Empathy and understanding towards the needs of families, and a good understanding of Therapeutic Parenting and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)
