Logistic Analyst - Commercial & Planning - 11911

The Role
Our logistics department supports the business by managing the flow of our amazing product from supplier to end customer whether that be one of our stores, an eCommerce customer or a wholesale customer. We have a global network of consolidation centers and distribution centers that handles more than 30m garments per year. It’s an extremely complex operation requiring expert leadership, along with strong relationships with our international 3PL and freight partners.
As a Commercial & Planning Analyst, you will assist the Logistics Manager with all logistics operations, budget forecasting, and reporting. You will use data from our logistics and finance systems to help with contract negotiations and business improvements. The role also includes managing reports on carriers and operations. You need to be good with data and always looking for ways to improve, ensuring we control and monitor spending effectively.
The individual needs to be data literate and have a continuous improvement mind-set to ensure annual spend is controlled and effectively monitored, providing detailed financial and operational reporting across all contracts/carriers & warehousing activities. Industry experience is not essential for this role, we are open to candidates who have a strong commercial acumen and methodical mindset, with the willingness to learn.
You Will
- Support Logistics Manager - Planning & Commercial in running and maintaining operational reports (per channel/DC/fixed/variable)
- Conduct analysis and modelling for carriage spend globally to include channel, surcharges & duty payments to support strategic or tactical carriage decisions
- Provide comprehensive data sets to support business tenders
- Conduct commercial analysis of B2B & B2C proposition changes
- Own the weekly carrier flash reporting, for all carriers/freight & samples, with commentary to support budget variances
- Design and develop dashboards in BI tool Looker (previous experience in using BI tools preferred)
- Communicate and collaborate proactively with other departments across the business
- Build personal competence to deliver team / personal objectives and business results
You Are
- Ideally someone with experience in a commercial or planning role. Knowledge of logistics is ideal but not essential
- Able to have a commercial mindset in appropriate decision making (both contract level and global desirable)
- Computer literate with exposure to different IT systems and software; confident in Microsoft Excel
- Able to work effectively in an autonomous environment whilst retaining regular links with key stakeholders in the business across the globe
- A structured, logical thinker with an attention to detail
- Someone who enjoys problem solving
- Able to communicate and present effectively
- Knowledgeable in Tools used within the role eg; BI tools, of ML, Python and SQL experience would be seen advantageous although not essential
