Animal Technician 3 T Level

Cirencester

Salary: £26,529- £27,128 FTE per annum, pro rata

Contract: Full Time, Permanent, Term Time Only (38 weeks)
Required: October 2024

Want to be in right at the start of something? This is an extremely exciting opportunity for an individual that has a keen interest in working with both animals and students in the 16-19 sector. A chance to join our thriving College and be at the forefront of developing our T Levels within Animal Studies.
 
The successful applicant will have an opportunity to demonstrate their passion for working with Animals and understand animal behaviour, welfare, and health. You will work within a supportive and quickly developing area, playing a pivotal role in enriching the learner experience across the programmes. You should have an understanding of animal handling, husbandry and be able to carry out these duties across a range of species. It is important and be excited about promoting Education and Employability within the Animal Industries.
The post holder will be expected to:

• Deliver face to face sessions for groups of learners around animal health and husbandry.
• Communicate with stakeholders such as employers about student experience and opportunities.
• Assist in the monitoring and tracking of student progress.
• Enhance employability output across a range of professional, educational programmes.
• Work and create content with a team of lecturers that enhances learners skills to make them well prepared for industry.
• Work with the Animal department with enrichment staff to create provision that excites and stimulates demand.
• Have a commitment to providing high quality learning to enable all learners to achieve their full potential. The ability to truly work as a team player is also essential.
