Dog Groomer / Stylist
Cirencester
Due to our continued growth we are looking for an experienced Groomer / Stylist to join the team. In addition to competitive rates of pay we also offer a performance based bonus scheme and staff discounts in our store. My Best Friend are committed to delivering outstanding grooms and great customer service. Our Salons work on a 1-2-1 basis and the welfare of the dog is at the heart of what we do.
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
Essential:
- 2 years dog grooming experience in a busy salon with the skills to breed a wide range of dogs to breed standard.
Desirable:
- iPet Network level 2 / Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming and Salon Management.
- City and Guild Level 2 Certificate / Level 3 Diploma.
- OCN Level 3 Diploma.
MAIN DUTIES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Grooming dogs to either breed standard or clients’ requirements including but not limited to washing, drying, brushing, clipping, scissoring, hand stripping, ear cleaning, nail clipping and tooth brushing.
- Completing initial client consultations to understand their needs and to provide professional feedback and advice based on your prior and relevant experiences.
- Offering clients a range of ancillary products that may be sold by the business from time to time.
- Making bookings and scheduling the diary.
- Taking payments and cash handling.
- Providing a caring environment to clients’ dogs at all times and ensuring high levels of welfare whilst a dog in your care.
- Cleaning – end of day and as required.
- Any other duties as required or requested by the business owner.

Salary: £12.40 - £15.00 PH
Hours Per Week: 40 including alternate Saturdays
