Vehicle Workshop Assistant
Gloucester

The Role
With over 500 vehicles in use across the company, having proper service, maintenance and repair in place is essential and you’ll play a key role in helping us achieve this. You’ll be joining a small, friendly and supportive team where the emphasis is on completing each task to a high standard and the quality of your work will be recognised and rewarded in an environment without sales, targets or strict time pressures. The hours are Monday – Thursday 7am – 4pm and Friday 7am – 3pm. While experience in a similar role would be beneficial, it is not essential as full training will be given.
Responsibilities
- To assist with the preparation of company vans, including loading and valeting them
- To conduct tyre re-fits
- To conduct the maintenance and general tidying of both the Vehicle Workshop
- To deliver vehicles, parts and materials to regional branches as required
- To assist with the auditing of company vans
- To assist with general administration
- To assist with the new employee and leaving employee processes
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence for manual vehicles
- Good organisational skills, including the ability to time manage and prioritise effectively
- Good verbal communication skills
- Experience of manual handling work
- Flexible approach to working
- Ability to work using own initiative
- Willingness to learn new skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
