Contract Type: Permanent, Part-Time, Term-Time only
Working Hours: 21 hours per week, 38 weeks per year (preferred working pattern over 4-days, but can be negotiated)

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
To provide in-class and tutor support for a cohort of 14-16 year-old learners
To foster an individualised approach to supporting learners to engage with learning and gain qualifications
To use appropriate techniques to manage student anxiety and behaviour and improve attendance
To work collaboratively with teaching staff and others, such as Wellbeing, to support student progress
To attend team meetings, curriculum meetings and student review meetings as required
Beneficial Skills & Qualifications
Previous work in an educational setting, such as a school, college or local authority
Awareness and understanding of the barriers facing young people in education and how to support those with SEN and SEMH needs, especially anxiety related non-attendance
Able to communicate verbally and in writing with a variety of stakeholders, including pre-16 learners, parents and school staff
High Level of commitment to improving people’s lives through learning
