PAY: Up to £25,396.80 + Bonus
PERMANENT
WORKING HOURS: 07.45 am – 04.30pm Mon – Thurs

Vacancy – Sewist and Upholstery Technician
ESS Employment Ltd are looking to employ a skilled sewist and upholstery Technician to work with one of our clients.
You will be working for a specialist company that has been established for a number of years.
You must be able to demonstrate previous sewing experience at an industrial level.
Duties for the role:
• Various sewing and seamstress/seamster processes of bespoke made-to-measure office chairs & seating
• Sub assembly processes of high-end seating components.
• Working within a small team responsible for output levels.
• Creating unique projects via handmade testing and assembly for specific projects.
• Occasionally handling various goods in/out processes in a busy factory environment. These can include but not limited to packaging and quality testing end of line production product before shipment.
• Reporting to directly to upholstery Supervisor & then to the operations & management team.
• Creating unique projects via handmade testing and assembly for specific projects.
The successful candidate:
• Experienced sewist with both hand and machine experience/skills.
• High level of attention to detail / accuracy.
• Using hand tools and power tools to a proficient level. (training provided)
• Previous experience of working in a similar production/factory environment a plus but not essential if candidate has worked in more artisanal sewist environments previously.
• Good team player, self-motivated and shows “can do attitude” to get job done under time and quality constraints.
