Your Role in Building Brighter Futures
As a HLTA at St John’s Primary School you will play a key role in contributing to the delivery of Futura’s mission statement of “Building the brightest future for all, enabling every individual to flourish”. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about living our values and making a positive impact on all the young people in our Trust.
As a HLTA, you’ll:
Lead whole-class learning activities to support teachers during their PPA time.
Assess student needs and tailor activities to foster their progress and development.
Promote inclusion, independence, and self-esteem in every child.
Develop Individual Learning Plans and collaborate with parents, teachers, and external professionals.
Use ICT and innovative strategies to enrich learning experiences.
Supervise and inspire students during lessons, trips, and out-of-school activities.
What You’ll Bring to Futura
We’re seeking someone with:
Essential qualifications: 5 GCSEs (Grade C or above, including English and Maths) and HLTA standards or qualified teacher status.
A commitment to safeguarding and child welfare (an enhanced DBS check will be required).
Proven experience supporting students in the classroom, especially those with additional needs.
The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to learning and development.
