32.5 hours pw - 8:30am-3:30pm Monday to Friday Term Time Only
Compass Point Primary is a diverse, welcoming and child-centered primary school in the heart of Bedminster, in South Bristol. We are a single site, one form entry school with school field, forest school area and dedicated cookery and art rooms. We offer wrap around care, a nursery and a Resource Base for children with a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Condition. We believe in an inclusive model of learning for our children and one which develops life skills within a caring and nurturing established school community.
We are looking for a friendly, positive person with a can-do attitude who is interested in working with ASC children. Some experience of working with children is essential but we will provide formal and informal training and development opportunities to give you the skills needed for this role and to support your career progression.
The successful candidate will
- be interested in working with children with SEN and/or Autism
- be keen to learn and willing to act on feedback
- enjoy working as part of a hard-working, committed team
- demonstrate good numeracy and literacy skills
- inspire, motivate and encourage children
- use initiative and be self-motivated
