Hours: 22 Hours 30 minutes per week, Term time only plus 3 weeks (Monday to Friday 7.15am – 9am and 3.15pm – 6.15pm although exact hours could be negotiated)
Salary: Hay 11 (£13,631 - £13,847 per annum)
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and hard-working person for the role of caretaker / handyperson.
We are looking for someone who:
Is a hardworking and positive individual.
Is committed to ensuring the building and grounds are safe and secure and to meet with contractors.
Can carry out health and safety checks and record these appropriately.
Has good DIY skills and is able to undertake basic handyperson repairs and maintenance or contact the appropriate contractors when necessary.
Is able to work as part of a team and supervise the cleaning staff.
Clean areas of the school when necessary.
Be prepared to undertake any necessary training.
Be flexible and willing to lock and unlock the school outside of normal school hours and respond to alarm call outs.
Is able to develop excellent relationships with children, staff and parents and act as a role model in line with our school values.
