Vacancy – Fleet Administrator
ESS Employment Ltd are looking to employ a Fleet Administrator to work with an established client, overseeing the daily operations of the fleet management system, ensuring the efficient and effective use of vehicles within the organisation. This role involves managing vehicle maintenance, tracking fleet performance, coordinating logistics, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Duties for the role:
Fleet Management:
• Oversee the daily operations of the fleet, including vehicle acquisition, maintenance, and disposal.
• Maintain accurate records for all fleet vehicles, including registration, insurance, and maintenance schedules.
Maintenance Coordination:
• Schedule and coordinate regular maintenance and repairs for all fleet vehicles.
• Monitor vehicle performance and address any issues promptly to minimise downtime.
Budget Management:
• Assist in developing and managing the fleet budget, tracking expenses related to fuel, maintenance, and repairs.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend strategies to improve fleet efficiency.
Vendor Management:
• Liaise with vendors and service providers to negotiate contracts and ensure high-quality service.
• Evaluate vendor performance and recommend improvements or changes.
Communication and Collaboration:
• Collaborate with other departments to understand their fleet needs and provide necessary support.
• Serve as the point of contact for all fleet-related inquiries and issues.
The successful candidate:
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in fleet management software and Microsoft Office Suite (desirable).
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair processes (desirable)
