UK Business Development Manager
Cheltenham

About the role:
The UK Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of Auger Torque Europe within the Earthmoving attachment industry. Reporting to the Sales Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing relationships with new customers and nurturing relationships with current or previous customers to achieve sales targets.
It is anticipated that the majority of the time will be at our Cheltenham office with travel across the UK.
- Building strong and trusted relationships with customers, dealers and distributors to enable continuous growth of the Auger Torque business
- Proactively seek and follow up on sales opportunities and leads generated through all our channels on a daily basis.
- Identifying new business opportunities, including new markets, new clients and new partnerships.
- Identify potential customers, research their needs, and present our products as the ideal solution to meet those needs.
- Build and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships with new and existing customers.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and sales strategies that resonate with the target market.
- Providing technical product expertise internally with others in the team and externally.
- Attending trade shows and other events to build relationships with industry partners and staying up to date with new trends and products in the industry.
- Work closely with the production team to ensure that customer requirements are met in terms of quality, quantity, and timing.
- Pro-actively manage the process flow of customer requirements and order progress through our Salesforce tool.
- To bring fresh eyes and inspiration to the Sales processes and team- to explore and implement improvements in collaboration with others
About you:
- You will have a natural ability to empathetically build and maintain strong relationships with a range of dealers, distributors and customers.
- You will feel at ease presenting to potential, new and existing customers as well as being hands on and willing to provide demonstrations of our products.
- You will have a proven record of outstanding and tenacious customer relationship management from initial call and nurturing customers through their journey with us.
- You will ideally have knowledge of technical sales and business development experience in the construction and/or agricultural sector, but this is not essential. We will provide comprehensive training for the right candidate.
- Your administrative skills will be advanced, and you will be confident using Microsoft Office and knowledge of Sage 200 would be desirable.
- Ideally you will be familiar with a customer relationship management system (ideally Salesforce), although we can provide training.
- You will be a driven self-starter willing to learn and deliver against your commitments.
- You will be keen to work in a collaborative way to support wider teams across the business to achieve customer demands.
- You will be able to manage multiple stakeholders and prioritise tasks
- Have a thorough, detailed and highly organised approach with a desire for process improvement
