New Business Manager
Remote, with HQ in Gloucester

This role is ideal for a self-starter who has the confidence and experience to work independently while receiving support from the CEO and Managing Director.
Position Overview:
As a Sales Executive/New Business Manager, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, and driving revenue growth. You’ll be working closely with our CEO and Managing Director, who currently handle sales calls, to take over the sales process and expand it. This role offers flexibility as it can be full-time or part-time, depending on your availability, and will include both a base salary and commission based on performance.
You will also collaborate with the Marketing team to create campaigns that attract clients and generate leads. With guidance from senior leadership, you’ll gain all the knowledge you need about our services to confidently communicate with prospective clients and answer any questions they may have.
While there is some flexibility in working arrangements, we prefer the successful candidate to work from our Gloucester office whenever possible. Being in the office ensures you can actively participate in meetings, training, and stay engaged with the business, which will enhance your success in the role.
Additionally, conducting sales calls from a professional office environment helps maintain credibility and a strong first impression with prospective clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation: Identify new business opportunities by researching and prospecting potential clients. This could include attending events and networking activities.
- Sales Calls: Conduct sales calls with prospective clients to explain our services, answer their questions, and demonstrate how we can meet their business needs.
- Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring a friendly and approachable attitude that helps win new business.
- Sales Targets: Meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs through effective selling strategies and by capitalizing on opportunities.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Marketing team to create effective campaigns that attract leads, and with senior leadership to refine sales strategies.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates to the CEO and Managing Director on sales progress and any client feedback.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Sales Experience: Proven experience in a sales role (preferably B2B), with a track record of hitting targets and successfully converting leads into clients.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage and build rapport with prospective clients.
- Independence: A self-starter who can hit the ground running with minimal handover and is comfortable working independently without a dedicated sales team.
- Customer-Centric: Friendly, approachable, and confident in answering client questions and addressing concerns.
- Technology Skills: Comfortable using CRM systems, email marketing tools, and virtual meeting platforms like Teams or Zoom.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in selling services, particularly in the accounting or financial industry, is a plus but not essential.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple leads and follow up effectively.
- Goal-oriented and motivated by achieving targets and commission-based rewards.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to continuously learn and adapt.

Salary: £40,000 base salary + Commission (+35% of base salary)
