We are currently seeking experienced Support Workers who are ready to make an immediate positive impact on people’s lives in supported living and independent living settings. As an integral part of our team, you will collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide essential support to vulnerable adults, assisting them with their daily tasks and activities. In addition, the role of a may also involve periods of lone working and personal care. As a Senior Support Worker, you may be responsible for providing care and support to individuals in their own homes, where you may be the sole healthcare professional present, and shared settings as part of a team.
As a Senior Support Worker, you will undertake a challenging yet highly rewarding role. Building upon the main responsibilities of a Support Worker, this senior position entails additional responsibilities and greater accountability. The following list outlines some of your key responsibilities while on assignment; however, it is not exhaustive:
- Competently working with individuals with varying challenging behaviours
- Assisting individuals with personal hygiene and dressing, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
- Safely aiding service users in their mobility, implementing appropriate techniques and equipment.
- Collaborating with fellow team members to perform moving and handling tasks safely and effectively.
- Assisting with meal service and providing support with feeding when required.
- Supporting individuals and groups in engaging with social and physical activities, promoting their well-being.
- Monitoring the health status of individuals under your care, promptly reporting any changes or concerns.
- Demonstrating clear and professional communication with clients, establishing a respectful and caring environment.
- Providing various levels of assistance with toileting needs, respecting individual preferences and maintaining privacy.
- Maintaining cleanliness, safety, and organization in all areas to ensure a comfortable and hazard-free environment.
- One of the duties that may be required as a Support Worker is to assist individuals on day trips and shopping trips.

While specific requirements may vary depending on the role and specialization, the ideal candidate for a support worker role would possess the following qualities:
- Be willing to work a minimum of 16 hours per week
- Hold the necessary qualifications required for the role, such as 6 months experience, a Care Certificate or NVQ level 2 in HSC etc
- Strong time management skills, ensuring efficient and effective task completion.
- Excellent communication skills to facilitate clear and compassionate interactions with individuals and colleagues.
