Charity Computer Donations Manager
Cheltenham
How would you like to work for a local Charity?
We are The ITSA Digital Trust (formerly IT Schools Africa) based in Leckhampton, Cheltenham, a UK Registered Charity with a mission to transform lives through access to digital education in Africa and the UK.
The computer equipment we collect is refurbished and shipped to schools in some of the poorest countries on the African continent. We have collected over 115,000 computers and laptops and helped more than five million children in Africa gain access to IT as well as supporting many charities and community organisations in the UK.
We are looking for a confident and enthusiastic person to contact schools, businesses and other organisations offering to collect their unwanted computer equipment.
The main objectives of the role are as follows:
- Undertake targeted marketing campaigns to schools and businesses by phone or email, including cold calling
- Identify and approach organizations to request computer donations
- Maintain and develop relationships with existing equipment donors
- Maintain detailed records of leads and correspondence on database
- To ensure a cost effective and efficient collection of equipment
- Provide support to the team with any other reasonable duties and responsibilities
The skills and experience we are seeking are:
- Good telephone manner with the ability to make cold calls, talk to existing donors, get through to the right contact and make a confident and engaging pitch
- Good IT skills to include Word, Excel and Email
- Knowledge of CRM database (training given)
- Previous experience in a sales or marketing role
Holidays: 28 days per annum to include Bank and Public Holidays
