Christian Youthworker
Stroud
This is a great opportunity to join our amazing charity and highly-committed team, dedicated to supporting young people and their parents.
We are looking for someone to coordinate our ‘illuminate’ project which aims to inspire and equip Christian young people as culture changers in their schools and communities, and to enable all young people to have opportunities to explore Christian faith in relevant and accessible ways. Duties include developing and delivering the programme for Christian youthwork activity in our communities in collaboration with local churches, and pioneering a chaplaincy ministry in a secondary school.
The Door is a Christian youth charity, established in 1991 in Stroud, Gloucestershire for the benefit of all young people aged 11 to 25 and their families. It’s a place where every young person and their parents can feel safe, happy and valued, with the best possible opportunity to reach their potential.
If you are a good role model, self-motivated and with an enthusiasm for communicating the Christian gospel, are flexible in your availability for work and have a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle, this could be the role for you.
Please note there is an occupational requirement for the postholder to be a practising Christian.
