Operations Director

Stroud

The Door is a Christian youth charity, established in 1991 in Stroud, Gloucestershire for the benefit of all young people aged 11 to 25 and their families.  It’s a place where every young person and their parents can feel safe, happy and valued, with the best possible opportunity to reach their potential.

We’re currently looking for an Operations Director, which offers an exciting and unusual opportunity for an experienced professional to join our vibrant, award-winning team and be at the heart of this dynamic organisation.

You would support the CEO with the overall leadership and culture setting of The Door, and be specifically responsible for the management of The Door’s financial, material and human resources to enable it to deliver its vision, and for reporting to the Board of Trustees on operational matters, including the development of budgets and policies for board approval.  You’d also be expected to provide day-to-day management of the administrative functions of The Door, and to act as our human resources lead.  Because of the significance of the role in leadership and culture setting, there is an occupational requirement for the postholder to be a practising Christian

You should have a relevant qualification or substantial experience of financial management and budgeting, and a proven ability to work at both strategic and operational levels.  An up-to-date awareness of employment law and HR best practice is also highly desirable.
