Senior Practitioner Required
Bishops Cleeve, Cheltenham
A fantastic opportunity to join our nursery in in Bishops Cleeve.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic, committed Senior practitioner working 40 hours a week (5 days), although would consider 4 days (32 hours). The role of the Senior practitioneris to support our under-two’s unit, managing a team of 8/9 staff and working closely with the room leaders. You will also be providing professional leadership of the nursery to ensure that all children receive the highest standards of care.
Applicants must have:
- At least NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Early Years
- At least 3 years recent experience in an Early Years setting
- A good knowledge of the EYFS and the way individual children develop.
- A clear passion for working with children.
- Be able to inspire the team with activities, planning and creating a welcoming environment.
- Strong leadership skills
- Up to date child protection and first aid is desirable but not essential as training can be given.
You will be required to work as part of our friendly team, to enable the setting to continue to deliver an outstanding standard of care. You'll be responsible for being part of and supporting the management team to ensure the smooth running of the nursery.
