Job Vacancy: Early Years Practitioner ( 24 hours per week with potential of increase)

About Us:
Abbeymead Under 5’s is a small and nurturing playgroup committed to providing a stimulating and supportive environment for young children aged 2-4 years old. We believe in the importance of early childhood education and are dedicated to fostering a love for learning in our little ones.
Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a passionate and qualified Early Years Practitioner to join our team . This part-time position entails 24 hours per week, with the possibility of increased hours in the future. The successful candidate will play a key role in creating a positive and engaging learning environment for our young learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to support the development of children aged 2-4years old.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that encourages curiosity and exploration.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to create a supportive community within the playgroup.
- Observe and assess children's development, maintaining accurate records and providing feedback to parents.
- Collaborate with the team to contribute to the overall planning and organisation of the playgroup.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum Level 2 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
- Previous experience working with children aged 2-4 years old
- Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate learning activities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a small team.
- Understanding of SEN
