The GCC Adults Transformation Programme is seeking a skilled communications professional to undertake a major and impactful communications project that will greatly enhance the experience of those who benefit from our services. About The Role

We are looking for a full-time Senior Digital Communications Officer on an 18-month fixed term contract. 

You’ll collaborate and transform Adult Social Care communications, with a focus on simplifying and improving information and advice for people across Gloucestershire.  A priority in this role will be to better support the 52,000 registered unpaid carers within the county. By listening to the people we serve, you will help to transform our communications.

About Us

This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of our Communications Team based at Shire Hall in Gloucester, offering agile working (which includes working from home combined with time in the office). You can be confident of becoming part of a welcoming, supportive, and highly experienced environment. Although you will work autonomously, you will receive regular supervision to support you in your role, working closely with our Adults Transformation Team and the Integrated Commissioning Team.

About You

You will be able to write to a high standard, creating clear and engaging content. By understanding how people access information and navigate websites, the importance of accessibility and the user journey. You will be able to independently manage projects, identifying needs and clearly communicating that to those whose involvement and contribution you will need, positively managing relationships with them to deliver the required outcomes.

You will either have experience or a genuine interest in the work of adult services, particularly demonstrating enthusiasm to improve support for unpaid carers.
